We would like to warmly welcome you to Purford Green Primary School. We are extremely proud of our school and the emphasis we place on ensuring we are at the heart of the community, supporting all our children and their families. By working together we create a safe, nurturing environment where everyone can thrive.
With summer gone, another new school year has begun at Purford Green Primary and autumn term is in full swing. Some things look the same, but in other ways we are making great strides to adapt to ever-changing times.
With schools opening to all pupils as normal from September after dealing with the challenges and disruption caused by the pandemic, we had to think creatively about how we could manage our transition arrangements for new pupils entering reception.
With the pandemic disrupting many social events, children across the land have missed out on summer term trips and farewell traditions of their schools. But at here at Puford Green Primary, staff were determined to find a way to celebrate our Year 6 pupils’ achievements, and allow them to say...
Way back at the start of March, when we began planning for the prospect of school closure due to the Covid 19 outbreak, we knew our first priority would be to stay in touch with each and every one of our pupils’ families.
On Wednesday 4th March, our pupils accepted the challenge of becoming problem-solving mathematicians for the day!
We have joined forces with our partner schools Passmores Academy, Potter Street Academy and The Downs Primary to form the first PCLC Student Council.
Due to Harlow council supplying the funding we are able to distribute food parcels this half term to anyone who qualifies for free school meals...call us on 01279 724515 or text 07999866952 Please retweet everyone needs to see this
If you are a family who would have had free school meals in the term time but now need support during the holidays, you can call (01279) 724515 or text (07999) 866952 or direct message Harlow food bank on their Facebook page. #ENDCHILDFOODPOVERTY

Today Year 6 have finished their batik fabric designs. After having drawn a pattern in wax, we dyed them and after removing the wax can see the pattern where the dye has resisted. Great work year 6! https://t.co/xanEZeT1rP
Year 1 have been busy finding out about our senses this week and labelling our body parts. Alex was a great life size model as we labelled him up. Make sure to ask us what our body parts do! https://t.co/iGJYHUXFwk
