Uniform

Our school uniform helps to promote a sense of community among the children. The uniform colours are dark green and grey. Grey trousers and skirts are readily available from many clothing retailers. In the summer the girls can wear green check dresses and the boys may wear grey shorts.

If you prefer to buy plain school uniform in the school colours without the school logo you are welcome to do so.

PE Kit

Pupils are expected to have their full P.E. kit in school throughout the week. All children are expected to wear plimsolls inside the building. For field sports some children in the upper part of the school prefer to have a pair of trainers especially when it is muddy. These must not be the same shoes worn to school. The named House school PE shirts can be ordered from Create Identitee at the cost of £10.00.

For health and safety reasons, all students must remove jewellery before participating in PE lessons, and long hair must be securely tied back.

If children wear earrings, parents are asked to ensure that their child can independently remove and reinsert them, as staff are not permitted to assist with this. Alternatively, earrings should be removed before the start of the school day. As a safe alternative, we permit the use of flat, soft, flexible, clear rubber earrings. 

 

If ears are to be pierced, this should ideally take place at the beginning of the six-week holiday period, as healing can take up to six weeks (or slightly less with the use of appropriate aftercare solutions).
